The Head of Concrete Preparation & Field Operations is a senior, hands-on leadership role. This position is responsible not only for executing high-level concrete preparation, but for training, supervising, and scaling multiple concrete prep teams across the country.
This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can set standards, train crews, solve problems in the field, and ensure every slab is properly prepared for high-performance pickleball sports coatings.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee multiple concrete preparation crews across active job sites
- Train, mentor, and develop laborers into skilled concrete prep technicians
- Establish and enforce quality standards, processes, and best practices
- Perform and supervise advanced concrete preparation including:
- Grinding and leveling
- Filling and repairing cold joints, expansion joints, cracks, and divots
- Surface profiling and flatness correction
- Identify issues early and implement corrective solutions without slowing production
- Coordinate with project management and coatings teams to maintain schedules
- Travel nationwide to support teams, launch new sites, and maintain consistency
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and care of all equipment
- Maintain job-site safety, efficiency, and professionalism
- Spanish-speaking (bilingual English/Spanish) is a HUGE plus
, especially for training and leading crews - Experience installing LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) and LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank)
- Background in sports court construction, coatings, or high-tolerance flooring systems
- Prior experience leading crews on large-scale commercial or industrial projects
- Valid Driver’s License
- Several years of proven experience in concrete preparation and repair
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and manage multiple crews
- Strong working knowledge of grinding, leveling, joint treatment, and concrete repair systems
- Ability to drive a truck and trailer
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make field decisions independently
