Job Overview

Job Title:

Secretary Class I - IV – Secretary

General Description:

Provide secretarial and administrative assistance to staff and administration.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and screen incoming calls and visitors
  • Establish and maintain office and record‑keeping systems and procedures
  • Schedule work, establish priorities and ensure deadlines are met
  • Demonstrate consistent and regular attendance
  • Deal with the public and students in a professional manner
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Provide direction and guidance to staff and students regarding school policies and office procedures
  • Effectively organize work and handle it in a timely manner
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a high school diploma
  • Previous secretarial/administrative assistant experience preferred
  • Substantial secretarial/administrative skills
  • Knowledge of word processing software programs (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Knowledge of correct English usage, spelling and punctuation
Employer and Benefits

Reports to:

Career and Technical Director

Starting Wage: $19.28 – $25.74 per hour (probationary period 90 days $18.00 – $24.46 per hour)

Hours:

8 hours / 5 days per week
