Application Engineer – Flexographic Printing Industry - Plate Mounting Tapes

As a Paper & Print Application Engineer for the USAC Area within 3M’s Industrial Specialties Division, you will collaborate with innovative teams worldwide and provide expert technical support for 3M’s flexographic mounting tapes and repulpable splicing tapes.

• Provide expert technical support for 3M’s flexographic mounting and repulpable splicing tapes.
• Lead product trials at customer sites.
• Collaborate with the sales team to win new business and defend at‑risk accounts.
• Support new product introductions.
• Train customers on proper use of 3M Paper & Print products.
• Troubleshoot and analyze customer complaints.
• Travel to customer locations throughout the U.S. and Canada as required.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution (completed prior to employment).
• Five (5) years of experience in the Paper & Printing industry
  * or* Five (5) years of customer‑facing Application Engineering experience.
• Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) FIRST Level 1‑3 certifications (preferred).
• SAPPI safety training in coated graphic, packaging, and specialty paper production (preferred).
• Adhesive science expertise (preferred).
• Experience in training content development & delivery (preferred).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without required visa sponsorship (e.g., H1B).
• Relocation assistance may be authorized.

On‑site 4 days per week, Maplewood, MN. Up to 40% U.S./Canada travel is expected.
