Part-Time PM Hygiene

Join our team in Maplewood as a Part-Time Hygienist on the PM shift! Our Hygienists are essential members of the clinical team, delivering high-quality, compassionate care and creating an exceptional experience for every patient. We’re currently offering flexible start times for those interested in picking up a few hygiene shifts per week, with a minimum commitment of 4 hours per shift.

Who We Are Community Dental Care is Minnesota's largest provider of comprehensive dental care for people of all ages on public programs. We operate five clinics across the state, including the Twin Cities, Rochester and Buffalo.

Provide culturally sensitive oral health care, preventive education, professional training, and advocate for access for all $3.00 per hour differential for working PM shift at the Maplewood clinic

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive dental care with a focus on the health needs of the patients

Perform preliminary and existing charting of the oral cavity and surrounding structures

Perform initial and periodic examinations and assessments

Formulate a dental hygiene treatment plan in coordination with a dentist’s treatment plan Complete debridement, prophylaxis, and nonsurgical periodontal therapy; place subgingival medicaments.

Provide nutritional counseling

Administer nitrous oxide inhalation analgesia and monitor patient

Apply topical medications including fluoride varnishes and desensitizing agents

Qualifications

Dental Hygienist license CPR/AED certification

Experience working with culturally diverse communities preferred

Proficiency in a second language preferred
