Logistics Packaging Engineer

We're Hiring:
Logistics Packaging Engineer | Maplewood, MN (Hybrid)

Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a Logistics Packaging Engineer for a 12-month contract with a world-class manufacturing client in Maplewood, MN
. This is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days per week onsite
, with the potential for contract extension.

This is not a traditional Manufacturing Engineer role
. The position focuses on logistics packaging, supply chain optimization, transportation efficiency, and packaging engineering to drive operational improvements and cost savings across a global logistics network.

• Optimize packaging solutions and transportation efficiency
• Improve trailer/container utilization and palletization strategies
• Drive packaging optimization and material handling improvements
• Analyze logistics performance using Power BI, Excel, and KPI reporting
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, distribution centers, and vendors
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and reduce transportation costs

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in logistics packaging, packaging engineering, supply chain, or industrial engineering
• Experience with palletization, trailer/container loading, packaging optimization, and transportation efficiency
• Strong analytical skills using Power BI, Excel, and KPI reporting
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and project management skills
• Willingness to travel 25-50% to manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and supplier locations

• Duration: 12-month contract (extension possible)
• Pay Rate: $50-60/hour

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
