- Support the Director of FP&A by analyzing relevant information, trends, and drawing conclusions to support strategic and operational planning.
- Drive the business group (BG) finance operational rhythm, ensuring alignment and process standardization with leadership in the Strategic Planning process, Operating Plan target setting and execution, and Quarterly Operating and Financial reviews.
- Develop cadence and analytics to connect financial performance to the financial plan.
- Leverage “Plan Do Check Act” framework to understand financial performance, operational drivers and actions that need to be taken.
- Drive standardization and centralization of financial reports to leverage resources, speed and simplicity across the BG and coordination across the enterprise.
- Support weekly management processes and reporting.
- Conduct financial analysis of BG investment opportunities and portfolio initiatives.
- Manage all components of the BG Sponsored P&L, including budget management of central marketing and R&D.
- Provide ad‑hoc analysis and support to senior management on strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Manage a team of financial analysts, providing coaching and development opportunities.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
- Seven (7) years of Finance or Accounting experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further include:
- Master’s degree in Finance from an accredited institution.
- Experience providing financial counsel/analysis.
- Strong Finance and Accounting knowledge.
- Highly proactive self‑starter with the ability to drive change.
- Experience working on cross‑functional teams.
This role follows an on‑site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.
TravelMay include up to 5% domestic/international travel.
