Job Overview
Fairview is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy team at our St. Johns Hospital location in Maplewood, MN. This position includes a $13,500 sign on bonus!
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible forprovidingdiagnostic and therapeutic services as prescribed bya physician. Follows defined treatment protocol according to department policies. Collects, assesses,interpret es,and intervenes as appropriate inthe care of neonatal, pediatric,adult,and geriatric patients. Ensures patient welfare and safety standards during treatments.
ScheduleThis position will be working 0.9 FTE (72 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on Nights.

Fairview Benefits
Shift differential incentives:
- $4.00/hrfor nights
- $2.00/hr for weekends
- Assessing patient needs andidentifiesexpected outcomes.
- Implementing Respiratory interventions based on plan of care.
- Evaluating care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
- Delivering care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient.
- Operatingandmaintainingall Respiratory Care equipment.
- A.A./A.S. in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field
- Respiratory Therapist License issued by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Exceptions include:
- New Graduates must complete their Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 6 months of hire.
- Those with Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) must have 3 or more years of respiratory therapist experience in a clinical setting.
- Respiratory Therapists working at M Health Fairview Facilities - supplemented by defined contract staffing agency – temporary.
- Exceptions include:
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (American Heart Assoc) at Lakes, Northland, Ridges, UMMCH, Southdale, Woodwinds and St. Johns within 180 Days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Assoc) at Lakes, Northland, Ridges, Southdale, Woodwinds, St. Johns, Bethesda and UMMC within 180 Days
- B.S./B.A. in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field experience
- 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience in a clinical setting
