Store Manager in Training

Compensation

Pay Range: $11.41 - $20.30 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

• Assist the store manager with sales, appearance, and overall operations.
• Supervise professional and retail store operations, including delivery installers and parts merchandising specialists.
• Recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline, and discharge team members.
• Communicate information from weekly and monthly store manager meetings to all team members.
• Train new team members; handle performance evaluations and recommend pay increases.
• Assist in hiring: recruiting tasks, scheduling, interviews, evaluating candidates.
• Support the store manager with safety compliance and training; monitor safety expectations.
• Make sales calls (with or without the store manager) and, if assigned, weekly customer calls.
• Maintain the delivery fleet and keep records for each vehicle.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
• Use electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll systems.
• Manage gross profit components and monitor professional customer returns for core and warranty abuse.
• Review competitive price matches and price overrides for proper use.
• Review KPI dashboards daily; review monthly P&L statements with the store manager to discuss areas of opportunity.

• High School Diploma.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Completion of Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems.

• Experience at an O’Reilly store or distribution center.
• Completed O’Reilly management training program.
• Advanced computer skills.
• A.S.E. Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
