Mechanical Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join a Consumer Products laboratory team. This role supports research, development, and quality control activities through hands‑on testing and evaluation of materials and finished products.

Contract Length: 10 Months with the possibility of extension

Pay range: $18 to $27/hour on W2 as per your experience

• Perform physical and mechanical testing to support research, development, and quality control initiatives.
• Execute prioritized testing across multiple test methods while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare materials, samples, and equipment for product testing.
• Assist in laboratory experiments, including testing and evaluation of new materials and products.
• Conduct mechanical performance tests and record accurate results.
• Perform visual inspections and comparative testing on competitor product samples and communicate findings.
• Operate and maintain multiple pieces of laboratory testing equipment.
• Follow established procedures, safety guidelines, and documentation requirements.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform repetitive testing tasks with consistency and accuracy.
• Prior experience with hands‑on or mechanical testing.
• Strong hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand, move, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
