Our client, a leader in nonwovens manufacturing, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the manufacturing support team, contributing to innovative process development and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Laboratory Technician
Location: Maplewood, MN 100% onsite
Pay Range: $18 to $22
Duration 12 month contract
- Configure, operate, and maintain process equipment, including labline systems
- Measure and characterize the properties of nonwoven materials off the production line
- Keep detailed records and communicate technical work and results effectively
- Follow and develop standard operating procedures while adapting to changing priorities and run plans
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, handling materials as needed
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience with labline equipment and roll-to-roll or similar heavy industrial equipment in production or pilot plant settings
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-based, high-speed environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with safety gear including steeltoe shoes, hearing protection, and respiratory protection
- Willingness to adapt to evolving work plans and priorities
