Our client, a leader in the nonwovens manufacturing industry, is seeking a LAB Technician I to join their team. As a LAB Technician I, you will be part of the Process Development Department supporting the Nonwoven Materials Team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Laboratory Technician

Location: Maplewood, MN (100% onsite)
Duration: 12 month contract

Pay Range:$18 to $22 p/h on W-2

What's the Job?

• Configure, operate, and maintain process equipment, including lab-line systems
• Measure and characterize the properties of nonwoven materials off the production line
• Keep detailed records and communicate technical work and results effectively
• Follow and develop standard operating procedures while adapting to changing priorities and run plans
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, handling materials such as lifting pails and moving pallets

What's Needed?

• High school diploma, GED, or higher
• At least one (1) year of technician or operator experience in an industrial setting
• Experience implementing quality control tests and sampling
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with personal protective equipment such as steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and respiratory protection
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
