Our client, a leader in the advanced materials and transportation industry, is seeking a LAB Technician to join their team. As a LAB Technician, you will be part of the Surface Treatment & Priming Operations team supporting product development, quality assurance, and customer support activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: Maplewood, MN
What's the Job?- Support and operate aluminum panel etch and anodize surface treatment processes according to established procedures and industry standards
- Monitor and control chemical bath parameters such as concentration, temperature, pH, and immersion times to ensure process consistency and quality
- Prepare and handle chemical solutions safely, adhering to all safety and environmental protocols
- Inspect and evaluate treated surfaces for quality, conformance to specifications, and overall appearance
- Set up and operate primer spray booth equipment, including spray guns and pressure pots, to apply coatings accurately
- Experience with surface treatment processes such as etching and anodizing is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures
- Ability to operate spray booth equipment and monitor environmental conditions
- Good documentation skills for recording process parameters and observations
- Commitment to safety and environmental standards in chemical handling and process operations
