Medical Technologist & Lab Technician, Research Scientist
Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Physical Properties Technician – This position is expected to last 3 months with the possibility of extension. Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour.
What you'll do- Running chemical-mechanical planarization equipment
- Assembling silicon wafers and abrasive pads for testing
- Material properties analysis including DMA, hardness, eddy current, etc.
- Analyze samples by confocal laser scanning microscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM)
- Analyze samples by supporting techniques including optical interferometry
- General lab maintenance duties
- Clean, maintain and calibrate instruments
- Maintain detailed and organized documentation on all laboratory work
- Associates degree or higher required
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/ Biochemistry or a closely related field preferred
- Time management skills and a high level of independence after the training phase
- Good organizational skills, record keeping, and follow through will be integral to success
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and by email
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications
- Ability to perform work in a lab or office setting, stand for long periods while conducting tests, work around strong smells, and wear personal protective equipment while handling samples (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses and gloves; all PPE provided by Pace).
