This part-time, on-site Salesperson role is based in Maplewood, MN and focuses on providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment. The Salesperson will greet customers, assess their needs, and recommend appropriate Red Wing products, ensuring proper fit and comfort for work and safety footwear. Daily responsibilities include maintaining product knowledge, explaining features and benefits, processing sales transactions, and handling returns or exchanges in accordance with store policies.
The role also involves merchandising and stocking shelves, keeping the sales floor clean and organized, and supporting inventory counts and transfers. The Salesperson will collaborate with team members to meet store sales goals, follow all safety and loss prevention guidelines, and represent the Red Wing brand with professionalism and integrity.
- Demonstrated customer service and retail sales skills, including the ability to build rapport and listen actively to customer needs.
- Comfort with basic point-of-sale systems, cash handling, and simple computer tasks required for sales and inventory activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain product features and benefits clearly and confidently.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move merchandise, and perform routine physical tasks typical of a retail environment.
- Attention to detail and reliability in following store procedures, maintaining displays, and supporting inventory accuracy.
- Prior experience in footwear, apparel, or specialty retail is helpful but not required; willingness to learn product fitting and safety standards is essential.
- Availability to work a part-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
