Department of Public Works is accepting applications for a full-time Fleet Maintenance Mechanic. Mechanical repair and diagnostic experience are required. Duties include, but are not limited to, repairing and maintaining Township fleet vehicles and equipment, performing engine and powertrain repairs, hydraulic system maintenance, electrical diagnostics, brake service, fabrication of hydraulic lines, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs during weather-related events. Applicants must possess ten (10) years of experience in motor vehicle repair and be knowledgeable in gasoline and diesel engine systems;
electric and hybrid experience is a plus. Applicants should possess a valid driver’s license—Class B CDL required within six (6) months of employment, Class A preferred. Must be an ASE certified technician or diesel/gasoline equivalent; completion of a 2 year technical school with certification is required. Must be available for overtime and able to work independently. Mandatory background check, drug and alcohol screening, and driver’s license check.
Hours of employment are 7:30am – 4:00pm. Compensation:
Salary range $58,001.00 – $92,000.00, based on qualifications, experience, and licensure. Interested persons should email their resume/inquiries to:
