TEACHER OF SPANISH

1.0 FTE - COLUMBIA HIGH SCHOOL & SOUTH ORANGE MIDDLE SCHOOL

THE POSITION

The goal of this position is to teach students at the high school and middle school level the Spanish language and culture.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • NJ Teacher of Spanish Certification or eligibility required.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.
STARTING SALARY RANGE
  • Bachelor's Degree: $70,000 - $100,315
  • Master's Degree: $77,450 - $109,865
  • Master's + 30 Credits: $81,565 - $115,450
  • Doctorate: $84,565 - $118,450

JOB DESCRIPTION PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implements instruction to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
  • Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
  • Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives.
  • Employs instructional methods and available materials that are appropriate for meeting stated objectives.
