Candidates will provide consistent substitute coverage to students, faculty and staff.
Qualifications Required- New Jersey Substitute Teacher Certificate or NJ Instructional Certification (fee $125).
- Teaching experience in English, Math, Science and/or Special Education.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status (fees: $30 for archive request, total $79 for new fingerprint request). Criminal history clearance must be obtained using our school and district codes.
- Completion of 30 semester-hour credits at an accredited college or university.
- Criminal History Record Check: approval date must be within five months of the application date with "Substitute Teacher" as the job position.
