The PositionCandidates should have experience working in a special education classroom, or with in-class resource support and behavior modification experience. He/she should desire to work cooperatively with academic teachers within a team concept.
QUALIFICATIONS- 1. NJ Teacher of the Handicapped OR Teacher of Students with Disabilities and the appropriate teaching endorsement certification required.
- 2. Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
- 3. Teaching experience with special needs students preferred.
- 4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- 5. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status.

POSITION TITLE TEACHER
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- New Jersey Instructional Certificate or eligibility.

REPORTS TO Principal
JOB GOAL(S) To provide instructional leadership in the classroom in accordance with the course of study approved by the Board of Education approved curriculum.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- 1. Implements instruction to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.

- 7. Communicates with colleagues, students, and parents.
- 8. Maintains high expectations for student performance and behavior.
- 9. Engages in professional development activities, which enhances instructional practices.
- 10. Participates in appropriate building and district meetings.
- 11. Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
- 12. Uses technology for communication purposes.
- 13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
