Nurse Practitioner-Pediatrics: Neonatal Medicine

Position Summary

Banner University Medicine Tucson is actively interviewing Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNP) to join our Division of Neonatology at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson.

• Support a Level IV Neonatology team covering up to 20 patients on the resident‑led team and up to 16 patients on the NNP‑led team.
• Attend all high‑risk deliveries.
• Teach, assist, and perform procedures including intubations, chest tubes, arterial lines, PICCs, ventilator management.
• Act as an NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) instructor.
• Work closely with physicians and other clinicians in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Assist with charting and attendings’ daily notes.
• Engage in teaching and research opportunities with multiple residents, attendings, and other NNPs on each shift.

• Full‑time (1.0 FTE).
• Flexible shifts with team self‑scheduling.
• 8‑ and 13‑hour shifts available Monday–Sunday with day and night coverage.

• Experienced (2+ years neonatal) candidates preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Arizona nurse license or ability to obtain before start date.
• Current BLS and NRP certification.
• Current prescribing privileges, including DEA license for controlled substances (waived for new graduates).
