Position Summary
Banner University Medicine Tucson is actively interviewing Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNP) to join our Division of Neonatology at Banner – University Medical Center Tucson.
Responsibilities- Support a Level IV Neonatology team covering up to 20 patients on the resident‑led team and up to 16 patients on the NNP‑led team.
- Attend all high‑risk deliveries.
- Teach, assist, and perform procedures including intubations, chest tubes, arterial lines, PICCs, ventilator management.
- Act as an NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) instructor.
- Work closely with physicians and other clinicians in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Assist with charting and attendings’ daily notes.
- Engage in teaching and research opportunities with multiple residents, attendings, and other NNPs on each shift.
- Full‑time (1.0 FTE).
- Flexible shifts with team self‑scheduling.
- 8‑ and 13‑hour shifts available Monday–Sunday with day and night coverage.
- Experienced (2+ years neonatal) candidates preferred; new graduates welcome.
- Arizona nurse license or ability to obtain before start date.
- Current BLS and NRP certification.
- Current prescribing privileges, including DEA license for controlled substances (waived for new graduates).
