Asa Quality Inspector1at PVBFabrications,youwillplayakeyroleinensuringourfabricatedproductsmeetcustomerrequirements,industry standards,andinternalqualityexpectations.
Thispositionworkscloselywithproductionteamstoinspectmaterialsandfinishedproducts,identifyqualityconcerns,andsupportcontinuousimprovementthroughoutthefabricationprocess.
Theidealcandidateisdetail-oriented,knowledgeableinweldingandfabricationprocesses,andpassionateaboutmaintaininghighstandardsofqualityandsafety.
Thisroleofferstheopportunitytoapplytechnicalexpertiseinahands-onmanufacturingenvironmentwhilecontributingtothesuccessfuldeliveryofhigh-qualityproductsforourcustomers.
Responsibleforinspectingproductsandmaterialsduringmanufacturingtoverifycompliancewithcontractdocuments,job specifications,applicable codes,andindustrystandards.
The Quality Inspector1supportsproductionbyidentifyingnonconformances ,documentinginspectionresults,andpartneringwiththeteamtoensurequalityrequirementsareconsistentlyachieved.
- Reviewcontractdocuments,shop drawings,specifications,andapplicablecodesandstandardstoverifyproductcompliance.
- Performinspectionsoffabricatedproductsusingweldinspectiontools,gauges,andmeasurementequipment.
- Verifyweldingoperationsareperformedwithinapproved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Identify,document,andcommunicatenonconformancestoproductionleadershipand
Quality
Management. - Acceptorrejectcompletedproductsbasedonestablishedinspectioncriteria.
- Maintainaccuratedailyinspectionreportsandqualityrecords.
- Supportwelderperformancequalificationtestingandcertificationactivities.
- ApplyindustrystandardsincludingASME,AWSD
1.1,API
1104,API
650,andotherapplicablecodes. - Collaboratewithproductionpersonneltoresolvequalityconcernsandimproveprocesses.
- Performotherdutiesasassigned.
- Minimum4yearsofexperienceinweldingandmetalfabrication.
- CurrentAWSCertified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Associate Welding Inspector (CAWI) certification required.
- Tradeschoolortechnicalcollegeeducationpreferred.
- Strongunderstandingoffabricationprocessesand Non-Destructive Testing(NDT)/Non-Destructive Examination(NDE).
- Abilitytointerpretshopdrawingsandidentifyfabricationissues.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word ,Excel,and Outlook.
- Strongattentiontodetail,organization,andtimemanagementskills.
- Effectivecommunicationandinterpersonalskillswiththeabilitytoworkcollaborativelywithproductionteams.
- Light/Mediumphysicaldemandpositionrequiringoccasionallifting,pushing,orpullingupto
20lbs. - Abilitytoworkinamanufacturingenvironmentwithexposuretotypicalshopconditions,including noise,equipment,andindustrialmaterials.
- Mustfollowallsafetyrequirementsandwearrequiredpersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE),includingsafetyglasses,hearing protection,andsteel-toe footwear.
- Full-time schedule,typically
Monday–Friday,8–10hoursperday.
Overtimemayberequiredbasedonprojectdemands.
