Pay CompensationCPM Pay:
Starting CPM Pay: 55 CPM with 5.5 cents per mile bonus (up to 60.5 cents)Layover Pay:
$150 per 24-hour period (when the driver is not the cause of delay)
Detention Pay:
$25 per hour after 2 hours (if on time)
Driver Assist Unload:
$15 per load (very rare)
Hourly Work (as applicable):
$15.50 per hour
Extra Stops:
$25 per stop (beyond one pickup and one delivery)
Safety Production Bonus:
Line drivers earn$0.03 per mile for the qualifying month
Paid the following month if qualifications are met
Production Bonus:
Up to$0.025 per mile (2.5¢) based on mileage goals and performance expectations

The Emulsion Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of an asphalt emulsion distributor truck to transport and apply emulsion materials used in roadway construction and maintenance.
Emulsion Truck Driver
The Emulsion Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of an asphalt emulsion distributor truck to transport and apply emulsion materials used in roadway construction and maintenance.
Essential Job Accountabilities- Safely operate an emulsion distributor truck to on construction projects and public roadways.
- Apply tack coat, prime coat, fog seal, chip seal, and/or related applications on road surfaces.
- Set and maintain proper spray bar nozzles, valves, pumps and pressure, temperature and heating systems, as well as application rates to ensure proper operation.
- Perform pre- and post-inspections and complete required logs, pursuant to DOT regulations, state, federal and company guidelines.
- Communicate efficiently paving team to coordinate application timing and coverage.
- Maintain proper documentation of loads, deliveries, and daily production reports.
- Comply with all DOT, state, and local truck and highway regulations and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must have valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- 2-3 years' experience operating distributor trucks or similar construction equipment, preferred.
- Experience with chip and slurry seal operations.
- Knowledge of asphalt emulsion applications and roadway construction operations.
- Ability to safely operate vehicles/equipment through all types of environments, including off road and job sites.
- Ability to work, day, swing, and night shifts (occasionally extended hours).
- Ability to work in constant exposure to outside elements, in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work in safety sensitive construction settings, including exposure to moving machinery and heavy equipment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced and complex environment.
- Ability to squat, crawl, and work in awkward positions/confined spaces.
- Physical dexterity, stamina, and excellent hand-eye coordination with ability to: grasp, assemble, and lift objects, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods over uneven surfaces, squat, bend, climb ladders onto equipment or other objects, and potentially lie down.
