Teachers who start in August earn a total of 10 days of paid leave during the year. Background Screening:
Employment for this position is contingent upon successful completion of background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. Eligibility for Florida certification is required. FL certification in School Counseling (grades PK-12) is a prerequisite for teaching in field. The Bureau of Educator Certification has developed instructional videos to guide applicants through the certification process, covering topics such as Florida's Online Educator Certification System Set-up and the Florida Teacher Certification Application.
