Key Responsibilities
- Proactively prospect and secure new business for conference services, banquet events, corporate meetings, weddings, and social functions through targeted outreach, networking, and industry partnerships.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize catering revenue, achieve or exceed monthly and annual targets, and grow market share in the luxury hospitality sector.
- Manage the full sales cycle: respond to leads, conduct site tours and showcases, customize proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Build and nurture long‑term relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding couples, and local/international partners.
- Collaborate with culinary, banquet, and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution, from menu planning and setup to on‑site coordination and post‑event follow‑up.
- Prepare accurate forecasts, reports, and budgets; utilize CRM and event‑management software to track opportunities and performance.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in Florida Keys events, competitor offerings, and innovative catering concepts to maintain a competitive edge.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues to create memorable guest experiences and generate repeat and referral business.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5+ years of proven experience in catering sales, hotel/resort event sales, conference services, or wedding sales (luxury resort or full‑service hotel background highly preferred).
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, driving revenue growth, and building client portfolios.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills with a creative, solutions‑oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems (e.g., Delphi, Salesforce), and event planning software.
- Knowledge of food and beverage trends, menu development, and banquet operations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, seasonal environment with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed for events.
- Passion for hospitality, Florida Keys lifestyle, and creating extraordinary experiences.
