Bartender

Marlin Bay Resort & Marina in Marathon is currently looking for an experienced Bartender to provide exceptional service to our guests at our pool bar. We are a small luxury vacation rental community and marina located at mm 49.5 in Marathon. Our guests enjoy the typical tropical drinks and beer, but some also love the classics. Must be able to work weekends, holidays as needed;

11:30am - 7:30p shift. You will be bartending shifts on your own and keep all tips, the pace ranges from day to day based on weather and occupancy, you do all of your own stocking and bar-backing which is minimal. Must be able to stand for entirety of shift and lift 45lbs.

Valid Florida Driver's License & reliable transportation required. Background checks are required. MUST RESIDE IN THE MIDDLE KEYS TO BE CONSIDERED.

• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently and building a report with guests
• Prepare beverages - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic - for bar patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve light, prepackaged snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age, Keep an eye on patron intoxication levels and respond appropriately
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

• Proven working experience as a bartender
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Computer literacy
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Ability to interact with adults and children (we are a family friendly resort)
