- Conduct initial dental assessments and prepare patient for dental examinations.
- Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride treatment, and sealant application.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as required.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene strategies to maintain healthy teeth and gums.
- Record and maintain accurate patient dental histories and documentation.
- Implement appropriate infection control procedures and maintain hygiene equipment.
- Collaborate with dentists to plan and provide effective patient treatment plans.
- Monitor and ensure patient comfort during dental procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and training opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated with the latest practices in dental hygiene.
- Assist in the management of medical and dental emergencies.
- Provide supportive and compassionate care to patients, ensuring a positive dental visit experience.
- Associate's Degree or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental office setting preferred.
- Proficiency in using dental technology and computer systems.
- Strong understanding of dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and oral anatomical structures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Committed to continuous education and training in dental practice.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to providing high‑quality care.
