Licensed MA Special Education teacher with moderate special needs. Additional licenses in English and/or Reading Specialist preferred. Multisensory, structured reading approach. Working knowledge of Language Based Learning Disability interventions and support.

• Consult with student teams and develop instructional models and practices that support students with language-based learning disabilities across academic settings.
• In collaboration with curriculum coordinators, design and teach a small group, substantially separate Math/Science class.
• Co‑teach and collaborate with grade‑level teams and paraprofessionals to ensure accommodations and modifications are implemented.
• Complete informal and formal diagnostic assessments and make recommendations for IEP programming and scheduling based on results.
• Lead Annual Review meetings, developing IEPs in conjunction with teams that address the specific needs of students.
• Coordinate schedule with service providers to ensure compliance with Service Delivery Grids across settings.
• Collect, compile and interpret data for progress monitoring and adjusting instructional practice.
• Develop Progress Reports related to IEP goals.
• Communicate regularly with parents, reporting progress and discussing areas of struggle.
• Ensure compliance with all aspects of student IEPs.
• Incorporate assistive technology to support the needs of LBLD students across settings in accessing curriculum.
• Collaborate with other Special Education teachers, providing support and consulting on LBLD students across the building.

• Multisensory, systematic approach to instruction.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
