Special Education Inclusion Teacher

Marblehead Community Charter Public School (MCCPS) is a small, vibrant, academically rigorous, and community-focused public charter school serving students in grades 4–8. Responsibilities
  • Provide direct, specialized instruction to students with IEPs in inclusive classrooms and/or small group settings.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum, adapt instruction, and implement accommodations.
  • Case‑manage IEPs for assigned students, including writing IEPs, coordinating meetings, monitoring progress, and maintaining compliance with all special education regulations.
  • Utilize data to inform instruction and monitor student progress toward IEP goals.
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and services.
  • Work closely with related service providers to support implementation of services.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.

Job Requirements
  • Valid Massachusetts DESE license in Moderate Disabilities, Grades 5–12 or PreK–8 (or eligibility).
  • Experience working in inclusive settings preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Deep belief in the potential of all students and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
  • Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and special education compliance.
  • At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
