Job DescriptionMCCPS is seeking a dynamic and passionate elementary education teacher to join our school community. This educator will be part of a supportive grade level team and work closely with colleagues across disciplines to deliver engaging high‑quality instruction that is rooted in meaningful hands‑on learning experiences aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with grade‑level colleagues and interdisciplinary teams to plan and deliver high‑quality instruction and authentic assessments.
- Foster a classroom environment that emphasizes reading, writing, critical thinking, collaboration, and student voice.
- Utilize diverse instructional strategies to support learners of all backgrounds and abilities.
- Participate in school‑wide community events, service learning, and enrichment activities.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom happenings.
- Contribute to the culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and shared leadership at MCCPS.
Marblehead Community Charter Public School (MCCPS) is a small, vibrant, academically rigorous, and community‑focused public charter school serving students in grades 4–8. Job Requirements- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred. - Current Massachusetts teaching license in Elementary Education (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Experience with or a strong interest in interdisciplinary instruction, and student‑centered practices.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Passion for teaching, learning, and building relationships with students and families.
- At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
