Starting Date: Aug 31, 2026

• Follow directions and meet the expectations of the supervising teacher/specialist/administrator
• Be familiar with student IEPs and able to implement specialized instruction as well as social-emotional and behavioral strategies under the direct supervision of the special education teacher/specialist
• Implement behavior plans and collect behavior data
• Assist with instruction for students with disabilities
• Supervise students during non-instructional times and transitions
• Collaborate with general education, special education, and related services staff
• Implement interventions, including all academic, behavioral, and special needs interventions and accommodations
• Be child-centered
• Collaborate and communicate regularly with teachers/supervisors/specialists as requested by the supervising teacher
• Maintain student confidentiality at work and after hours at all times
• Understand the range of disabilities within a classroom and ask for information if particular disabilities are not understood
• Carry out other related special education duties as may be assigned by their supervisor(s)

• Qualifications:
  
  Must be able to accurately and appropriately follow the teacher's direction in all areas, with school or child experience preferred. Must be able to work as a member of a team for the benefit of all students.
  
  Experience with job coaching preferred.
