Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. On-call every other weekend for emergency situations only.
Setting:
Inpatient Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility.
Patients:
Geriatric patients (65+ years).
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director Of Nursing (Don) to build upon this legacy and lead our nursing team into the future.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight and administrative supervision of all nursing staff, including nurse managers and direct caregivers.
- Develop, implement, and review comprehensive resident care plans that address individual medical and psychosocial needs.
- Ensure compliance with long-term care regulations, Medicare guidelines, HIPAA privacy standards, and all applicable federal and Massachusetts state regulations.
- Oversee documentation review processes within electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of medical records.
- Manage nursing staff schedules to maintain appropriate staffing levels while optimizing operational efficiency.
- Supervise the administration of medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and regulatory requirements.
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives by analyzing clinical data, including:
- Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments
- Resident outcomes
- Incident reports
- Facilitate effective communication among interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, social workers, residents, and families, to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care.
- Conduct regular audits of medical records and clinical documentation to ensure compliance with documentation review protocols.
- Stay current with evolving long-term care regulations and update policies and procedures as necessary to maintain accreditation and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Several years of progressive leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Massachusetts Department Of Public Health (DPH) regulations
- State survey processes
- Clinical operations within long-term care
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor, support, and lead a collaborative nursing team.
