Performs professional and technical accounting and financial duties for the Operations & Performance Management Division at the Marco Island Executive Airport. Work involves preparing budgetary, accounting, financial and statistical records; reviewing and analyzing financial transactions and identifying technical issues; preparing grant draws and other financial reports as assigned.
- Performs a variety of accounting duties pertaining to the preparation, maintenance, and administration of various grant budgets.
- Prepares and manages schedule for grant administrative monitoring; maintains grant administration check lists; prepares reports relating to grant funding, utilization, status, etc.; reconciles account receivables to grant agreements
- Prepares, reviews and compiles grant fund requests; administers and prepares necessary paperwork for awarded grants; creates grant reports in accordance with single audit compliance, gathers supporting documentation, allocates expenses, ensures grant compliance, performs budget and expense analysis ; ensure periodic invoicing/draw requests, timely and accurate financial reporting, and reconciliation of general ledger transactions
- Conducts internal reviews and audits to ensure all accounting, financial and budgeting activities comply with grant requirements, and County financial and administrative policies and procedures.
- Analyzes historical costs and projects future financial needs; monitors expenditures; prepares budget reports; and prepares budget amendments and journal entries as necessary.
- Performs data entry for accounting operations and to verify accuracy; prepares a variety of financial and accounting records and reports; analyzes historical costs and projects future financial needs.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on Financial Operations practices, procedures, and policies; provides compliant and consistent audit and QA/QC of procurement and accounts payable matters and provides training and guidance to team members on all aspects of these processes.
- Performs special projects, analysis and reports related to the financial condition and accounting records of the Division.
- Assists with the annual audit by an outside firm; researches and provides information and documentation to auditors.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field required.
- One (1) years of related experience preferred.
- Candidates without a related degree should possess an additional four (4) years of related experience.
- Fingerprinting Required.
- Salary offers above the minimum pay grade may be considered based on qualifications.
- Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared or declared emergency. The County’s Administrative Office will determine who will be required to work on an incident-by-incident basis.
