Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our busy repair shop. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will assist our customers by diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicle performance and function.
You must have an in-depth understanding of all vehicle systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
Candidate must be efficient with tire installation and have their own tools.
The ideal candidate is skilled in communicating with customers, able to explain vehicle issues clearly and concisely and provide valuable advice.
Hourly pay plus weekly commission earned on hours billed.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair vehicles coming into the shop
Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements
Conduct in-depth vehicle inspections of all systems, including engine, transmission, and brakes
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business
Qualifications
Associate degree or completion of an automotive service technician training program is preferred
Automotive Service Excellence/ASE and/or ASE A8 Engine Performance certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills are required
