Pay Rate: $55,000 to $70,000/yr BOE
Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Description:
The Accounting Specialist supports day-to-day financial operations by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance within a regulated environment. This role plays a critical part in accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting, helping to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all financial data.

AccountingSpecialist Duties and Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations.
- Assist with cash tracking, revenue reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial controls.
- Assist with inventory accounting and cost tracking activities.
- Identify process inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and consistency.
- 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. - Experience in regulated industries such as cannabis, manufacturing, or retail is preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Business Central, Quick Books, Sage) and strong skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage confidential financial information with discretion.
- Familiarity with inventory accounting practices and compliance tracking systems (e.g., Metrc) preferred, along with the ability to support accurate financial tracking and reporting.
