Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Information

Location: Margate, FL

Unit: Cath Lab

• Number of Beds: 4 rooms, 1 patient per room
• Number of Staff: 22, consisting of RNs and Techs
• Day Shift Staffing: 1 Charge RN, Director, 4 staff members per room, 16 total per shift
• Night Shift Staffing: On-call team, 3 each call team, 7 total
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Type of Equipment: All GE rooms
• EMR: Meditech and Mac Lab

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab will work collaboratively with a close-knit team focused on providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The role includes scrubbing for various procedures and adapting to the dynamic needs of the unit.

• Assist with cardiac catheterizations, cerebrovascular angiograms, stent placements, balloon procedures, and ENT lab scrubbing.
• Utilize strong critical thinking skills to ensure effective patient care.
• Participate in a collaborative practice model with other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain effective communication and teamwork within the unit.

• Required:
  • BLS, ACLS, and ARRT certification
  • Competency in Special Procedures and GE Innova
• Preferred: RCIS certification

The ideal candidate will be a team player who can think critically and maintain a strong focus on patient care. Flexibility and adaptability are essential to meet the changing needs of the unit.

Unit scrubs in red and gray are required within the Cath and EP Labs.
