Accounting Manager

Accountants One is working with a growing technology manufacturer to help them hire a key member of the accounting team.

The successful candidate will have four or more years of hands-on experience. Someone with confidence, aptitude, and drive to earn promotions will be successful.

This role will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and enhancing internal accounting processes and controls. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to contribute to the financial infrastructure of this growing organization.

• Marietta, GA (fully onsite, 5 days/week)
• Reports directly to the Head of Finance and partners closely with U.S. leadership and the Global CFO.

As a hands-on accounting leader, you will oversee U.S. accounting operations and help build the financial infrastructure needed to support a rapidly growing business. This role is focused on creating consistency, improving visibility, and establishing scalable processes that leadership can rely on with confidence.

Success in this position means delivering an accurate, disciplined, and highly efficient close process while strengthening controls, improving reporting quality, and reducing manual work across the accounting function.

• Lead and refine a structured 5-day month-end close process with clear documentation, accountability, and strong internal controls. Ensure leadership can rely on timely and accurate financial reporting every month.
• Maintain complete balance sheet integrity through timely reconciliations, standardized reporting templates, and audit-ready documentation.
• Streamline workflows by leveraging Microsoft Business Central ERP data, automated reporting, and process improvements that minimize manual spreadsheet dependency.
• Manage accounts payable operations and compliance responsibilities with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and operational discipline—eliminating missed deadlines, late fees, and filing issues.
• Manage and mentor a small accounting team, promoting accountability, continuous improvement, and attention to detail across all accounting activities.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with direct ownership of the general ledger and full-cycle month-end close process.
• Advanced Excel capabilities and hands-on ERP experience required. Experience with Microsoft Business Central is highly preferred.
• A self-starter who anticipates issues, drives follow-through, and proactively identifies the accounting and financial impact of operational changes.
• Background supporting growth-stage or operationally complex businesses—particularly within manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or international operations—is highly valued.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred.
