Position Overview:
This role offers hands-on exposure to construction accounting and job costing, supporting the Finance Manager with vendor invoice processing, cost tracking, and month-end reporting, with a clear path to grow into a Project Accountant role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately review, code, and classify vendor invoices by project and cost type
- Support job costing and project cost tracking
- Maintain accounting data within Viewpoint Spectrum
- Assist with reconciliations and month-end close
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate financial data
- Provide general accounting support as needed
- Follow established accounting procedures while learning construction-specific best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 0–2 years of accounting experience, including internships
- Interest or exposure to construction accounting/job costing is a plus
- Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum is a strong plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team environment
