Construction Controller
Location:
Marietta, GA
Company:
Design Build/ General Contractor
Salary: 125k-145k. Excellent benefits package included.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
Oversee the creation and management of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that all company financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation. - Tax Planning:
Coordinate with external tax advisors for timely filing and ensure optimization of tax liabilities. - Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring timely payment to suppliers and accurate invoicing to clients. - Payroll:
Administer company payroll ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations. - Internal Controls:
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. - Financial Analysis:
Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making. - Team Leadership:
Train and mentor accounting department staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient environment. - Process Improvements:
Recommend and implement improvements to current financial and accounting systems and processes. - Liaise with External Parties:
Build and maintain relationships with service providers, including banking institutions and accountants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or Parts passed preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Experience in the construction or related industry a MUST
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
