Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
  Oversee the creation and management of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  Ensure that all company financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
• Tax Planning:
  Coordinate with external tax advisors for timely filing and ensure optimization of tax liabilities.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring timely payment to suppliers and accurate invoicing to clients.
• Payroll:
  Administer company payroll ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations.
• Internal Controls:
  Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Financial Analysis:
  Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
• Team Leadership:
  Train and mentor accounting department staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient environment.
• Process Improvements:
  Recommend and implement improvements to current financial and accounting systems and processes.
• Liaise with External Parties:
  Build and maintain relationships with service providers, including banking institutions and accountants.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or Parts passed preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
• Experience in the construction or related industry a MUST
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
