Tax Manager

We're seeking a Tax Manager with public accounting experience and construction industry knowledge to lead our tax function, manage a team of three tax accountants, and grow into a partnership role. High-performing leaders who demonstrate measurable contributions to firm growth are evaluated for equity partnership after 2–3 years.

• Manage a portfolio of 15–20 clients, primarily in construction
• Prepare and review percentage-of-completion (POC) calculations, WIP schedules, and financial statements
• Lead tax research, document strategies, and present risk/reward analysis
• Supervise three tax accountants: assign work, review deliverables, provide feedback
• Serve as the primary client contact for tax planning and advisory
• Collaborate on firm growth initiatives and process improvement

• 5–7 years of public accounting experience (Big 4, regional, or boutique CPA firm)
• Active CPA license
• Deep construction accounting fluency — percentage-of-completion (POC), WIP schedules, and job costing are non-negotiable
• Tax research and strategy documentation for complex tax resolution cases
• Proficiency with Quick Books, CCH Axcess (or similar), and advanced Excel
• Partnership track: equity partnership evaluation after 2–3 years for high-performing leaders
• Paid continuing education (CPE), professional conference attendance, and mentorship with senior firm leaders
• Incentive-based compensation tied to annual performance, referral bonuses, and a profit sharing pool

In-office full-time for the first 6 months. Hybrid (2–3 remote days per week) available after 6 months, with an in-office expectation during busy season (January–April).
