Communications and Worship Coordinator

Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Decatur GeorgiaOak Grove is seeking to hire a Communications and Worship Coordinator to support the work of the program staff and lay volunteers of Oak Grove UMC. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and flexible, familiar with communications processes as well as the intricacies of worship planning in a larger church.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinates and disseminates all internal communication to the congregation (weekly news email, funeral announcements, and other special announcements sent directly to parishioners).
- Coordinates updates and changes to church website.
- Coordinates the production of all documents related to worship (the bulletin, newsletter, posters and slides for worship).
- Organizes lay volunteers who assist with worship (readers, ushers, greeters, etc.).
- Coordinates the scheduling and staffing of all funerals and weddings.
