Overview
Cobb EMC is seeking a detail-driven, proactive Administrative Assistant I – Operations to support our field teams and leadership. In this role, you’ll be at the center of operations—helping coordinate work, manage information flow, and ensure smooth communication across teams, contractors, and members.
This is a dynamic opportunity for someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Schedule- Monday–Friday
- 4-day workweek (10-hour days) with a rotating off day
- 1 remote day per week

- Maintain department files, schedules, and personnel records
- Prepare timesheets, reports, correspondence, and spreadsheets
- Track budgets, invoices, and receipts
- Document meeting minutes and assist with coordination and logistics
- Support safety, HR, and payroll-related communications
- Create, verify, and route work requests for construction, maintenance, and service jobs
- Track job progress and close completed orders
- Generate reports on completed work and performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with inspections, staking, and cable locating
- Serve as a key point of contact for incoming calls and inquiries
- Coordinate daily with Customer Care, Billing, and Operations teams
- Communicate with contractors, counties, and government agencies
- Support cross-functional collaboration across the Operations division
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or office experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication (written and verbal)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Utility industry experience
- Familiarity with NISC, iVue, Smart Track, Mapwise, App Suite, or OMS
- Knowledge of Georgia 811 / GUFPA regulations
- Business or administrative training
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and teams
- Strong customer service mindset
- Adaptable and eager to learn evolving technology and processes
- Confident communicator in both office and field coordination settings
