A Data Entry assessment will be required for all applicants. The assessment will close on Wednesday, July 8th, 2026, at 11:59 pm.

The purpose of this position is to provide administrative and secretarial support to the Senior Wellness Center front desk. This position supports the center manager and Senior Nutrition Program. This position will report to 1150 Powder Springs St SW, Marietta, GA 30064 and will work Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.

Distinguishing Characteristics
  • Coordinate and provide administrative/clerical support for an assigned department/division:
    Process a variety of documentation within designated time frames, provide guidance to staff, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Provide administrative/secretarial support for management/staff: relieve routine tasks, screen calls/communications, record and transcribe dictation, type/edit, maintain calendars, schedule meetings, invitations, and coordinate travel.
  • Serve as liaison between the assigned department and other departments, staff, county officials, the public, community leaders, outside agencies, or other individuals or organizations for the distribution and receipt of routine information; engage with officials and dignitaries for sensitive client relations.
  • Maintain calendar/schedule of activities, scheduling and confirming appointments, meetings, conferences, training, and update notes.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, conference registrations, or other travel-related plans for executives or other staff.
  • Research, compile, monitor administrative or statistical data, summarize data, perform routine data analysis, prepare reports, conduct research on files, legal records, database records, internet sites, etc.
  • Distribute documentation between department/staff members and internal/external individuals/agencies, operate fax machine, etc.
  • Type, prepare, proofread, complete forms, reports, correspondence, logs, notices, schedules, agendas, minutes, budgets, contracts, agreements, statistical reports, incident reports, inventory records, charts, graphs, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Coordinate meeting arrangements: notify participants, prepare notices, agendas, meeting packets, coordinate room reservations, setup, refreshments, equipment, attend meetings, record minutes, maintain records.
  • Process purchasing documentation: review purchase requisitions, verify budget, prepare orders, obtain competitive quotes, handle invoices, research discrepancies, assign accounting codes, obtain signatures, forward for payment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required, Associate's degree in secretarial science or office administration preferred; supplemented by three years of responsible experience in secretarial, office administration, customer service or similar field (preferably in a municipal environment). Tasks require light physical effort, may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
