Summary
Provides administrative support for Plant Manager and other managers. Acts as plant purchasing agent. Handles confidential matters, acts as liaison at all levels of authority by telephone and personal contact. Makes routine decisions within established guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provides administrative support for Plant Manager and other managers as applicable.
- Prepares correspondence, special reports, presentations, and documents, including edits, proofs, and format selection.
- Compiles and completes periodic special reports and other documents and research projects.
- Assists in other department communications, mailings, and back‑up as needed.
- Coordinates all travel, lodging, and ground transportation for assigned personnel; prepares and submits expense reports.
- Plans and schedules office meetings and conference calls; may take notes and provide minutes.
- Organizes schedules and maintains calendar appointments.
- Coordinates and works on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Responsible for departmental filing, copying, faxing, and mail distribution.
- Maintains proper inventory of office supplies.
- Acts as purchaser for plant and prepares department‑related invoices for A/P processing.
- Monitors applicable departmental budgets.
- Performs various duties specific to the assigned functional area.
- Runs errands and hosts duties as required.
- Answers phone switchboard and acts as visitor receptionist/hospitality representative.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent attendance, be able to work independently, and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Pay Range: $39,200 – $49,100
