A growing national company is seeking individuals to join a team of professional home inspectors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, articulate, outgoing, and personable, and follows our standard process to complete an accurate, thorough, quality home inspection and detailed report. This is a part-time position with the opportunity to move to full-time.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct comprehensive residential inspections covering structural components, roofing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and interior/exterior system
- Produce accurate, detailed inspection reports with clear findings, high-quality photographs, and actionable recommendations
- Utilize industry software (Home Gauge) to document results and deliver reports within 24 hours
- Access roofs, crawl spaces, attics, and confined or elevated areas while adhering to safety standards
- Evaluate property conditions in various weather environments and identify potential hazards or improvement opportunities
- Communicate findings clearly to clients, providing education and guidance while maintaining a professional, personable demeanor
- Stay current with building science, inspection standards, and company policies to ensure consistent, high-quality service
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organization, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Maintain punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic while managing daily travel to inspection sites
- Minimum of 2+ years of home inspection experience REQUIRED
- Home Inspector certification REQUIRED-Inter Nachi or ASHI preferred
- Other home inspection certifications, construction, real estate, or home repair experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of building codes, laws, and government regulations
- Bachelor's Degree/Construction Degree preferred
- Knowledgeable Microsoft 365 apps. Home Gauge or other report-writing software are a plus
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
- Physically fit for climbing ladders, walking on roofs, accessing crawl spaces and attics, and standing for long periods of time
- Able to lift 50 lbs
- May be required to enter homes that contain allergens such as pets, dust, mold, or other substances
- Reliable transportation
