We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Civil Site Superintendent/Inspector to oversee a team performing large-scale site preparation for new power projects in Georgia (clearing ROW, grading, leveling, and sediment control). This role is essential for ensuring all site preparation, grading, and environmental compliance activities meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical specification.

What You Will Be DoingThis role focuses on the essential, initial phases of construction, requiring daily oversight of contractor activities, specifically:
- Site Preparation Oversight: Inspecting and monitoring land clearing (silvicultural/initial clearing), earthwork, leveling, and civil grading activities.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring all work complies with civil design drawings, specifications (including topographical cut/fill and construction layout), and industry standards (e.g., ACI, ASTM, USACE).
- Environmental Compliance: Vigorously ensuring adherence to environmental regulations, with a strong focus on Erosion Control and NPDES GAR 100002 permitting
. - Safety Leadership: Taking personal responsibility for safety, mentoring contractors on safety rules, and ensuring daily hazard analysis and safe work practices are followed.
- Documentation & Administration: Maintaining daily logs, submitting project status reports, verifying and approving contractor timesheets, pay applications, and invoices.
We are seeking candidates with the following profile:
- Experience: 5-10+ years of direct experience in site preparation, mass grading, clearing, construction management, trenching, directional digging/boring, contractor oversight.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of civil construction methods related to grading, excavation, structural concrete, and construction surveying. Can interpret civil design drawings.
- Certifications:
Must be certified (before start-date) in NPDES / GASWCC (Blue Card) and possess the necessary skills to maintain environmental compliance on site. - Safety: Working knowledge of Excavation Safety Best Practices.
