Pivotal Partners, LLP is a global design, development, & sourcing company servicing both national brands, and retailers directly. Our focus is to help build/grow categories, by expanding existing product lines or through new products/designs. We have the honor of working with several of the greatest brands, and strongest retailers in the Sporting goods industry.
The Product Developer will support the overall functions of the Product development and production team.
While the focus is working on the development of our product/graphics by programs, it is imperative that you understand not only the customer requirements, but all internal requirements as well. One must be able to work well with others and understand that working as a team is the key to our success. Responsibilities:- Create art specification files for factories once a product is adopted.
- Participate in the product development process, including but not limited to; lab dips, art development, assigning and matching colors, sample review and revision communication.
- Understanding the logic of each factories turn times, by silhouette, to assure products are approved so production timelines are met.
- Work as a team with designers and technical design to assure all art files are accurate and properly organized and communicated correctly to each vendor so development process runs smooth.
- Understand time and action calendars-by customer to assure deadlines are met for samples and/or new style developments.
- Must be creative, have a sense of color, fashion, and an eye for graphic design.
- Have a good understanding of apparel printing techniques, and overall product development
- Must have problem solving and decision‑making skills and a thorough understanding of the process as well as the ability to anticipate, and to see around corners.
- With guidance of the PD Manager, organize and manage the overall strike off and TOP style library.
- Factory on‑site visits for pre‑production print checks.
- Minimum 4 years of Apparel Product Development or related industry
- Production art experience in screen printing, embroidery and apparel appliques is preferred
- Apparel PLM software experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft office
- Extremely organized, detailed and accurate
- Proactive and possess the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong prioritizing and problem‑solving skills
Job Type: Full- time, in office Monday-Friday.
Occasional lifting and moving products up to 25 pounds.
