The School of Arts and Sciences is the largest academic unit at Rutgers–Camden, delivering a wide array of degree programs at the baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral levels in the humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, and fine arts. The School of Arts and Sciences includes three schools: the College of Arts and Sciences, University College, and the Graduate School.

Rutgers University-Camden SASC seek multiple part‑time positions for Theatre, Gallery and Event Staff. This position will assist the Department and the Production Manager (Technical Supervisor) with the construction of scenery and set design, setting up lights, sound equipment, props and special effects for productions, concerts, and events in theaters and exhibitions in the galleries, as well as front‑of‑house operations and audience support for the Department.

Duties may vary dependent on specific role and department needs but may include the following tasks: – Set up and operation of lighting and/or sound equipment – Construction of scenery, props – Operation of special effects – Front of house operations and audience support. Qualified candidates will have live technical theater and stagehand experience, or experience with audience development and front‑of‑house operations.

Lead positions in audio, lighting, video, stage management and scenic carpentry are available.

Nonexempt

A range of $15.92/hour - $30/hour.

The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position.
