Overview

Role Name: Dental Assistant.

We are actively looking for an experienced, dedicated and responsible Dental Assistant to become a part of our professional dental team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a friendly environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the dentist during dental examinations and procedures.
  • Handling patient intake and discharge procedures.
  • Preparing and sterilizing instruments, maintaining a clean operatory, and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available before each patient s dental procedure.
  • Taking digital radiographs and dental impressions as instructed.
  • Managing office scheduling and patient follow-ups.
  • Providing patients with information on dental procedures and post-operative care.
  • Instructing patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, our dentist, front desk and other members of the team.
  • Going over treatment plans with patients.
Administrative Tasks
  • Scheduling appointments and managing the dental office s appointment calendar.
  • Taking, maintaining and updating patient records.
  • Ordering and maintaining dental supplies and equipment.
Emergency Preparedness
  • Assisting in emergency situations and following established protocols.
To be successful in this role, you ll need
  • A completion certificate from an accredited dental assistant program.
Skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Familiarity with dental software (Dentrix) and office management systems, though not mandatory, will be a plus.
Experience
  • Previous experience as a dental assistant will be advantageous but not mandatory.
Professionalism
  • An ability to uphold a high level of professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality in all patient interactions.
