At HDW, our youngest dancers are the foundation of it all. We believe preschool classes should be joyful, imaginative, and rooted in technique. They set the tone for who our dancers become: focused, kind, and confident.

HDW is seeking an experienced Preschool Dance Instructor to lead classes for children ages 2.5–6 in Ballet/Tap Combo, Pre-Ballet, Creative Movement, and Kinder Jazz/Tap.

We’re looking for a teacher who leads with warmth and structure — someone who knows how to capture a child’s imagination while teaching proper foundations. The right instructor understands that preschool dance is not “just playtime”; it’s where lifelong skills, habits, and confidence begin.

• Teach assigned preschool classes following HDW’s structured curriculum.
• Maintain a fun, developmentally appropriate classroom environment rooted in strong fundamentals.
• Reinforce consistent routines, classroom etiquette, and positive behavior.
• Communicate clearly with parents and leadership about student progress or concerns.
• Participate in teacher meetings, trainings, and recital preparation.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure consistency and excellence across classes.

• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching ballet and tap to children ages 6 & under.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and classroom management.
• Experience in jazz or tumbling/gymnastics is a bonus.
• Warm, confident teaching presence with clear communication and composure.
• Availability for weekday evenings and/or Saturday mornings.
