Job Description

Do you bring out the star in your students? Our motto at Taylor Robinson Music is "Learn to Play From the Heart" and we are looking for private music instructors who share this philosophy. We strive to make music lessons accessible and affordable, believing that music education is essential to a better, happier world.

We are hiring private music instructors, primarily for piano. Because we do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio, students need teachers who can conduct lessons in their homes, in the instructor’s own home or studio, or via webcam. While webcam lessons make up a small portion of our base, most students prefer in‑person instruction, so local instructors who can host students or travel within the Marietta area are required.

Responsibilities
  • Teach piano lessons as an independent contractor, paid $20‑$30 per hour based on travel time, experience/education, and student retention.
  • Set your own schedule and develop your own curriculum and lesson plans.
  • Use the studio’s advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing services to attract and manage students.
  • Maintain good communication with the office and arrive on time for all lessons.
  • Adhere to COVID‑19 precautions by wearing a mask, sanitizing hands, and practicing social distancing when appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Excellent with kids and teaching.
  • Good communication skills and organizational discipline.
  • Formal music training is not mandatory, but you must hold either a degree in music, be enrolled in a music program, have professional performing experience, or possess prior teaching experience.
