Job DescriptionLoving Touch Daycare is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team for the Two-Year-Old Classroom. This position is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education, who can maintain a structured and engaging classroom environment, and who is knowledgeable about lesson planning and curriculum development.
We are preparing for a Quality Rated observation and require a professional who is already proficient with Quality Rated standards and processes.
Summary- Current CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) – non‑negotiable.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Completion of 10 hours of state‑approved training in early childhood education.
- Proficiency with Quality Rated standards and experience in achieving or maintaining accreditation.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Knowledgeable in creating and implementing age‑appropriate lesson plans and curriculum.
- Classroom Management: maintain a structured and engaging environment; ensure safety, supervise all children; manage routines, transitions, and schedules.
- Lesson Planning and Curriculum Implementation: develop and execute age‑appropriate lesson plans; incorporate developmentally appropriate activities; use creative and interactive teaching methods.
- Developmental Assessments: monitor and document developmental milestones; use observation and assessment tools to tailor learning; communicate effectively with parents.
- Compliance and Quality Standards: ensure compliance with Quality Rated standards, state licensing, and center policies; maintain cleanliness and safety; prepare for observations.
- Leadership and
Collaboration:
serve as role model and mentor to assistants; collaborate with staff and administrators; participate in meetings and professional development. - Family Engagement: establish positive relationships with families; share updates and reports; address concerns promptly.
- Health and Safety: supervise children during meals, naps, and outdoor activities; ensure sanitation; respond to emergencies.
